"Catechesis is the act of handing on the Word of God intended to inform the faith community and candidates for initiation into the Church about the teachings of Christ, transmitted by the Apostles to the Church.
Catechesis also involves the lifelong effort of forming people into witnesses to Christ and opening their hearts to the spiritual transformation given by the Holy Spirit"

Our aim for Faith Formation at St. Bernard seeks to provide every member of our faith community with ways to enrich their faith-- whether through Religious Education, small faith sharing groups, Lenten Missions, or other Parish events. Our basic means of Faith Formation, specifically Religious Education, is by equipping parents to be the primary catechist of their children. Anything we do at a parish level is, then, in addendum to this goal as parents.

Join Fr. Bower every day through Lent
We will be reading through the Gospel one section at a time. Grab your Bibles and journey through scripture with commentary to follow the readings. If you get inspired then talk through the different insights and aspects with your family and friends.
Priest & A Pint (usually the last Wednesday of the month see calendar)
A great way for our over-21 crowd to come hang out with Fr. Bower, share in some fellowship, and have some conversation! This is a very low-key event geared towards our adult parishioners, but anyone over-21 is welcome!
